A Division of the American Mental Health Counselors Association

The New Mexico Mental Health Counselors Association, which was founded in 1979, is an American Mental Health Counselors Association chartered state division which serves professional counselors who work in community mental health centers, public or private agencies, private practice or prevention oriented settings and who hold a master's degree or doctorate. This division promotes the standards of preparation for private practitioners. The members of this division are concerned with the delivery of quality mental health services to children, youth, adults, families and organizations.
