Legislative Advocacy, Leadership Training, and Up-to-Date Info

By far, one of the biggest benefits of your investment in this wonderful profession is advocacy efforts needed at the state and national level. The NMCA advocates on your behalf through its Executive Director, President, Government Committee, and the Governing Council.

Our members benefit from this professional advocacy at local, state, and national levels.

Continuing Education Opportunities

There are a variety of educational opportunities provided through the NMCA. These events support professional counselors, counselors-in-training, clinical supervisors, and counselor educators. Members have access to these opportunities at significantly reduced rates. View Events.

Professional identity as a counselor is promoted by the NMCA and our parent organization, the ACA. The NMCA is in the top professional counseling membership in the state. State membership allows you to become involved locally – YOU may directly impact the happenings in New Mexico’s counseling profession. Find opportunities for networking and leadership in the counseling profession by joining the NMCA.
