Session 1: In these times: Securing Paths of Hope and Opportunity | Our ethics call for cultural responsiveness which calls for interventions rooted in the unique aspects of our students' culture and history while addressing the current state of affairs for our students. In this presentation, the Multicultural and Social Justice standards are addressed by providing clear examples of successful programs that can be replicated. Particularly in an era in which micro-insults and micro-aggressions have been aggressively enacted at the federal level against minority communities, this presentation seeks to instill a firewall to the attacks on the very dignity and existence of our children who represent the beautiful diversity of this nation.
