The selected artwork will become the visual identity of our 2027 conference and will be featured across promotional materials, digital platforms, conference signage, merchandise, and other event materials. We kindly ask the the artist donate the original framed piece to NMCA for the conference event.

This award recognizes a professional whose work demonstrates exceptional leadership, advocacy, service, and lasting positive impact beyond their direct clinical role. Whether through community projects, outreach, education, advocacy efforts, innovative programs, or meaningful partnerships, this counselor embodies the spirit of service and elevates the counseling profession within their community.
This award is presented annually at the NMCA Conference. Nominees are submitted by members of the community and the award recipient is selected by the Conference Planning Committee. The winner is awarded a year membership to NMCA.
Community Impact Award
Every year NMCA invites graduate students from around New Mexico to Volunteer at our Annual Conference. This is a great opportunity to network, learn, and get exposure to your peers in the counseling field. We work to make sure that our Volunteers have the opportunity to attend sessions of their interest during the conference. We encourage you to take part in this amazing experience!
